How can you sign up?
Choose the sessions that interest you and register for them on the Yntymak Week website between 23 August and 10 September 2024.
Invite your project participants (beneficiaries) to the events
Who:
Participants of peacebuilding projects, such as local leaders
The participants will:
➔ Broaden their understanding of the four main themes;
➔ Discover new approaches and think critically about existing methods;
➔ Meet like-minded people and find opportunities to collaborate in the future;
➔ Learn about the results of peacebuilding work.
How can you sign up?
Write to the Yntymak Team (yntymakweek@yntymakweek.org) expressing your interest in participating by 5 September 2024.
Organize a session/activity at BYW in line with its Concept
Who:
- Experts and activists working in the peacebuilding
- CSOs
- Formal and informal groups

You will:
➔ Share experiences and work results
➔ Present yourself or your organization as a prominent actor engaged in peacebuilding within Kyrgyzstan
➔ Expand the amount and type of people who are aware about your work

Record and present a video-story about the results of peacebuilding with specific people and/or communities
Who:
- Experts and activists working in the peacebuilding

➔ Broadcast the results of your work to a wide range of people, such as civil society, experts, government representatives, and international organizations.

Guidelines for Digital Impact Video-stories
As a platform that brings together a wide variety of peacekeeping voices, Yntymak Week will use video-stories to demonstrate how peacebuilding initiatives have brought about changes on an individual, community, and national level.
Who can send impact video-stories?
- Any organization, group or individual who contributes to peace within one of four thematic areas of Yntymak Week: Effective Natural Resource Management and Climate Change Adaptation, Social Cohesion and Solidarity, Women’s Empowerment, and Fair and Responsive Governance.
How may this benefit you?
This is an opportunity to:
- Demonstrate the results of your peacebuilding activities to a wide audience
- Share your experiences (successes, challenges, lessons learned, strategies)
- Gain recognition within the peacebuilding community
What we are looking for
- Stories that showcase real changes that have occurred as a result of peacebuilding projects and/or initiatives and demonstrate a tangible impact of peacebuilding work within one of four thematic areas.
- Stories that highlight specific changes at the individual and community levels.
- New and innovative practices used for peacebuilding
Elements to avoid
- Listing or describing activities.
- Mentioning activities without focusing on their impacts.
- Interviews with one person lasting more than 30 seconds.
- Vague words that do not impart important information, convey meaning, or illuminate specific conclusions.
Format guidelines:
- The videos submitted for Yntymak Week should have a duration between 30 seconds and 3 minutes.
- We would like to emphasize that shooting and editing on mobile phones is perfectly acceptable, as it makes the video creation process accessible and convenient for everyone.
- We encourage the use of the popular Reels feature for video creation. This will enable you to make brief and captivating clips that attract the attention of a wide audience.
Selection process:
A special team will select the videos that will be showcased during the Yntymak Week.
